Resumes data replication for the specified pipeline_id.
When you enable a Pipeline:
- Hevo restores the schedule of the Pipeline.
- If the first historical load of the Pipeline is still incomplete, Hevo also reads the Source schema and the Destination schema again, and resets the object mappings. If that load has finished, Hevo does not read the schemas again.
- If
schedule.sync_typeisON_DEMAND, Hevo also starts a sync. It does not start one on the first enable of a Pipeline that was created disabled. - If the enable fails, the Pipeline moves to the
Failedstate, and you can then only resync or delete it.

The response returns the Pipeline in the Enabling state. Use the Get Details of a Pipeline endpoint to check the state value until it is Initialized.

The Pipeline could not be enabled. This occurs when:
- The Pipeline is not in the
Disabledstate. To recover a Pipeline in theFailedstate, resync it. - No object of the Pipeline is selected for replication. For example, you created the Pipeline with
options.create_disabledset to true and have not selected its objects yet, or Hevo is still reading the schema of your Source. Select the objects with the Manage Objects in a Pipeline (PATCH) endpoint, and then enable the Pipeline.
You do not have the permission to run this action on a Pipeline. Ask your team administrator for a role that allows it.
The Pipeline could not be found. This occurs when:
- No Pipeline exists with the specified
pipeline_id, or you do not have access to it. - The Pipeline is deleted, or its deletion is in progress.
- The Pipeline is in a different region from the base URL that you call.
The Pipeline could not be enabled. This occurs when:
- The Pipeline is changing state, for example when it is in the
Initializingstate. - Hevo is still finishing the work that created the Pipeline, even though its state already reads
Disabled.
Retry the request a few seconds later.
